FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below are a few FAQ's to help you along. If you have a question that hasn't been answered here then please email us, and we may even add your question to the FAQ'a page.

Q. When can I start my web pages?

A. Whenever you like. We know that people start planning their weddings years in advance, so why not start your web pages then too?

Q. I don't know how to create a website. Is it difficult?

A. No. We have designed this site so that anyone can use it. Most of the pages are self explanatory and you don't have to know anything about programming computers. The fact that you've managed to navigate your way to this page means you know enough to create your own web pages. You enter all your words using a simple text editor which lets you type your information in a very similar way to the  standard word processing application that you currently use.

Q. How long will my pages be viewable after our wedding?

A. We allow you to view your web pages for 6 months after the wedding day. This gives you plenty of time to upload wedding and honeymoon photos and allow your guests time to view them. If you wish to have a permanent reminder of your wedding website, including the photos, we can burn your details onto CD ROM and send them to you for a small fee.

Q. Can I choose which font I use?
A. While you are given the freedom to change the font colour and the option to make bold, italic or underlined text, you do not have the option to change fonts. This is because guests to your site are also prospective future customers of ours, and we want to keep some semblence of similarity between all of our web pages. You are free to choose between the various top, bottom and background banners in order to personalise your site however.

Q. When I change my photo on my web page it doesn't show my new photo when I update and preview that page. Why not?
A. Your computer is remembering what it showed before when it viewed that page. The information is stored in the computer's 'cache' memory. It does this so that it doesn't have to waste time going back to the server to get information on a page that it has recently viewed. You can force the computer to go back to the server by pressing CONTROL + F5. This will then update your computer with the latest information about your web page and it will show your new photo.
